Recognising these challenges and building on the Supreme Court’s (SC) recent judgment of the Right to Walk, Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) is advancing safer and more inclusive streets through its Healthy Streets initiative. School streets emerged as an ideal opportunity to demonstrate how low-cost, people-centred interventions can significantly improve safety, accessibility, and comfort while maintaining efficient traffic movement.
